Not only was Team XRAY super strong and hot contender and team to beat, but it was especially interesting to note that the T2 was the choice of the majority of private and non-sponsored drivers; from the line-up of all brands it was XRAY who had the dominating representation.

The new T2 has been the favourite choice in all categories due to its high performance and handling characteristics, and of course because of the durability and reliability and unmatched support and service.

Team XRAY had the entire German team at the race, and the highest anticipations were given on Jilles Groskamp and Alexander Stocker who had to fight in the highly-competitive Modified category. In the Stock category it was young Thomas GĂĽnsel who was the hot contender and the "XRAY shark."

Both Jilles and Alex gave a great show of racing in the Modified category when they qualified together with Eric Dankel – amongst VERY tough competition – for the A main… putting three XRAYs in the A main. Jilles was struggling a bit in the qualifiers from not having enough rear traction, but after working on the setup his T2 was flying in the final and was able to achieve a podium position.

In the Stock category, Thomas proved his racing skills and was dominating the pack by taking TQ and winning all three finals with his T2. Not only was Thomas able to showcase in the Stock category, but the T2 worked well in hands of the other XRAY private drivers; at the end XRAY had 6 cars in the A main final.

Thomas was setting the pace for the whole event and after the event Thomas said: "The T2 has been super easy to drive the whole event. As the grip was increasing during the day I was changing the stiffness of the car without having to exchange any parts, and thanks to the Multi-Flex Technology™ all the changes were a question of few seconds. This allowed me to concentrate on working on the smallest set-up details instead of wrenching on the car. Having Multi-Flex Technology™ allows me to concentrate more on the racing and the easy handling of the T2 made me very confident as I could push the car to the limit but still have the car under control."

The T2 was dominating not only in the Stock category – taking the 2006 German National Title – but also achieved two another German National Titles. It was Eric Dankel who won the Junior category (Modified) and achieved the title of German Champion, and it was Frank Kirchhefer who achieved the title of Senior German Champion in the Stock category.

SMI, the exclusive distributor of XRAY in Germany, was at the race to provide excellent support and service. As the only company, XRAY had the information stand available at the track, not only showcasing the entire product line but mainly to provide technical assistance and service. The technicians and factory team drivers provided the set-up help to anybody with an XRAY car, proving that XRAY is serious about not only designing and manufacturing the best model racing cars but especially to take care about the XRAY community and providing the best help to all XRAY owners. Jilles Groskamp travelled from Holland to support the team and help all XRAY owners too, so at the end the crowd was very much positively surprised about the professional team support and service, the excellent community support and promotion of XRAY and SMI.
